D’Argento secured a career best during the 2018 Autumn Carnival, claiming victory in the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas.
“I remember inspecting D’Argento as a yearling and he was such a lovely, athletic colt. D’Argento just stood out to me, not only because of his colour, he had this great presence about him.”

Durston joined Chris Waller Racing in 2022 having raced successfully for Highclere in the UK. A 7-year-old gelding, he’s taken brilliantly to racing here, and captured his first stakes success in the Listed Wyong Cup in September.
He followed that up by winning the Group 3 Newcastle Cup before being promoted to elite level and finishing sixth in the Group 1 Metropolitan Handicap. He then lined up in the Group 1 Caulfield Cup and produced one of the performances of the season to run down Gold Trip to take victory.
“It’s a big deal. Durston, he’s a really decent horse. He looked like he needed a bit of luck getting out and he did get out, so a great ride from Michael (Dee).”

This dual Oaks winner dominated her rivals early in her career, securing six consecutive wins from eight starts.
It was during this streak that she was victorious in two Group 1s, the SAJC Schweppes Oaks (2017) and the BRC Queensland Oaks (2017).
“She’s a little star. She’s not very big, but she’s got a motor and she takes such a big stride. She’s waiting for you to press the button and when you do she just goes ‘woosh’.”

Always so promising as a young horse, Espiona lost her way somewhat when she returned in her 4-year-old season. Chris never lost faith in her elite-level ability, gave her plenty of time, and was rewarded when she won the 2023 G1 Coolmore Classic.
Producing another Group 1-winning filly for Denise and Star Thoroughbreds brings Chris and the team great satisfaction, and she is now extremely valuable as a breeding prospect.
“I’m very happy with her, keeping her in the 1200m to 1400m has suited her nicely and she is happy to be there now. She’s an exciting horse with a big future ahead of her.”
