Preferment Hong Kong International Meeting bound

Preferment is set to be Chris Waller Racing’s first runner in Hong Kong at the prestigious international meeting on December 13.

Leading Sydney trainer Chris Waller flagged his star four-year-old entire as a potential breeding superstar during the Spring Carnival, and a positive result at Sha Tin would certainly boost his value enormously.

This spring, Preferment took out the Group 1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m), before finishing back in the field in the Cox Plate and the Melbourne Cup.

Preferment will compete in the Hong Kong Vase (2400m), looking to win over the mile-and-a-half trip for the first time since claiming last year’s Victoria Derby (2500m).

Hugh Bowman, currently on a short-term riding contract in Japan, will hopefully be able to take the ride on the son of Zabeel, vying to claim the winners’ cheque worth an estimated AUD$1.67 million.
