The Chris Waller stable has advised stewards Turnbull Stakes winner Kings Will Dream will not tackle Saturday’s Caulfield Cup.
Kings Will Dream was exempt from the Caulfield Cup ballot after his win in the Turnbull Stakes but stewards announced the gelding would not run in Saturday’s $5 million race.
Kings Will Dream had an elevated temperature on Monday morning but will be fine to run in the Cox Plate on Saturday week.
Meanwhile, international runner Raymond Tusk will also miss the Caulfield Cup.
Raymonds Tusk’s connections have decided to bypass the Caulfield Cup to concentrate on the Melbourne Cup.
Raymond Tusk was a $21 chance in the latest Caulfield Cup betting. Sportsbet has him at the same price in its Melbourne Cup market.
Meanwhile, Australian Bloodstock has announced Big Duke won’t take his place in the Caulfield Cup, preferring to run the horse in the $500,000 ATC St Leger in Sydney on Saturday.
Big Duke will run in the Randwick feature before heading to the Melbourne Cup.
