Role: Foreperson 

Chris Waller Racing is seeking an experienced Foreperson to educate young horses and manage a small team under the direction of the head foreperson. Join our team and play a crucial role in our success in the racing industry. 

Essential Skills: 

• Minimum of 3 years of full-time professional experience in a similar role. 
• Excellent horsemanship skills with a proven ability to train and educate young horses. 
• High reliability. 

Desirable Skills: 

• Proven management experience. 
• Strong oral and written communication skills for taking instructions and providing information. 
• Knowledge of safe operating procedures and personal protective equipment. 
• Demonstrated skills in the safe operation of equipment relevant to the training and preparation of racehorses. 
• Sound knowledge of OH&S obligations. 

Work Schedule: 

• Mornings: 3:40 am – 9:30 am 
• Afternoons: 2:20 pm – 5:00 pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Ride 7 horses each morning, focusing on pace/timed work and jump outs. 
• Perform basic stable duties. 
• Opportunity to participate in raceday duties.
